Relationship Management

Protect+

Using this segment security module, the contacts that can be viewed can be set per user. The output of information from the database, via export or reports, can also be limited per individual user.

Windows Authentication Connection Pack

Protect+ contains the WACP (Windows Authentication Connection Pack). WACP allows Windows users to be linked with Archie users. Users can log in to Archie using their Windows login information. Please note that WACP cannot be deployed when using an ASP (hosting provider) model.

Functionality

In addition to the default authorization, each user can be assigned up to five target group codes (B-Groups). The user can set whether a user is allowed to view the relations with at least one of those B-groups (in that case, all other relations are invisible), or that they are allowed to edit only these relations and can only view the relations without those B-groups. However, if no B-Groups are assigned to a user in System Administration, that user will have access to all contacts. This applies to both the name/address details and the history and notes. You can also set Archie to:

  • allow users to view only their own Letters, Reports and/or Queries;
  • allow users to print/export more relations;
  • allow a user to consult the activities of one specific group of Archie users (e.g. one’s own department);
  • allow a user to consult the activities of one specific group of Archie users (e.g. one’s own department);
  • make filling out the Relation’s spare fields (Headings) compulsory;
  • limit filling out the Relation’s spare fields (Headings) to the data available to the underlying table.
