Microsoft SQL Server

Microsoft SQL Server is well known to system administrators. Microsoft SQL Server provides support for 64-bit systems, no 4 GB of RAM memory limit. Archie supports Microsoft SQL Server from the Standard Edition (SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008). In the case of a small business server, "Archie is only supports the premium version.Organizations should take care of Microsoft SQL licensing.

Firebird (open source)

Firebird is an open source database management system. Open source means that the source is available. Firebird is by nature multi-user, but also desirable for applications with a single user deployment. Like MySQL, Firebird has a large community and support contracts are available, but not required. Firebird is the only completely free DBMS supported by Archie. Archie Europe installs the database. Any support on the database should be obtained elsewhere. Firebird database is a suitable solution for businesses of 25 users.

Oracle is mainly used in large organizations. Archie supports both Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g. Due to the complexity of the implementation of Oracle, Archie will be installed in cooperation and close consultation with an Oracle specialist in your organization.
